Somewhere south off Alandari Lane. I don't know the address. My friend, who has actually visited the victim in the hospital, desires me to keep quiet. It is too close for comfort for me to keep quiet about it.

Good for you for not keeping quiet. This kind of of information should be known so people do not let their guard down and stay aware.

This is very scary stuff. I have a friend living over there who is out of town for a while and would like to be able to give her some factual information. Anyone know where I can read about it? Is it in any newspaper or police report?

The men you said in green t-shirts might be working for one of the landscape contractors. Saw them spreading mulch at the pond off St. Charles/Bailey a few days ago. Don't think they are prisoners.

Well, here it is a few days later (for me, anyway), and this is the first I'm hearing about this.
I think there are a number of things withheld from the newspaper and if you think about it, the reason should be obvious. Making information such as this should be made public . . . not to scare anyone but to make people aware. We all learn from the mistakes of others. I think we would all like to know how this event happened and exactly what took place.

If this is domestic violence it's no ones business. I for one will respect everyones privacy. However, if it is not. Please let us no more details. It is our business and there should be a responsibility to the community so that we can better keep ourselves safe. If law enforcement won't . Please fill us in. Is there a maniac on the loose in my neighborhood? I'm lucky enough to live with someone & my dogs.. I have many friends that are alone and I'm really worried about them not knowing.

Saw the CSI unit on Persimmon Loop about halfway between Blueberry Way and Tallowtree. It bothers us, too, that we don't know if we should be concerned about some creep lurking in the neighborhood.

Which suggests that there is more to this story than we have heard so far.

The email version of the xxx paper that we cannot mention had MANY crimes listed today, including one domestic case of a man taking a knife to his brother in TV. this one stood out as another reminder to always take caution and not think there is no crime in our area :
Woman hospitalized after mugging at TJ Maxx parking lot January 10, 2014 By Meta Minton Leave a Comment A woman is recovering from serious injuries at The Villages Regional Hospital after she was mugged in the parking lot of TJ Maxx in the Rolling Acres Plaza in The Villages The woman was in the parking lot when she was approached by a black male in his 20s wearing baggy pants with his underwear showing, , said Lady Lake Police Chief Chris McKinstry. After taking the woman’s purse, the suspect fled on foot in the direction of the Target parking lot. The Lake County Sheriff’s Office brought in a blood hound and canine to search the area. “It appears he got into a car and got out of the area rather quickly,” McKinstry said. The woman suffered serious but not life-threatenting injuries, McKinstry said. Those who may have information about the case are encouraged to contact the Lady Lake Police Department at 751-1565 or Crimeline at 1-800-423-TIPS.
