Default How to get rid an old water softener

We have just replaced our old water softener with a Nova whole home water filtration system. My problem is; How do I get rid of the old water softener tank? Put it out yesterday, trash nite, hoping someone might take for scrap but no luck. Trash guy wouldn't take it either. Any suggestions?

Your county probably has drop off sites. Call and see if they will take it.

Call up your Sanitation service and schedule a bulk pickup.

You can donate to habit for humanity in wildwood . They will pick it up, that's what I did. You even get a tax write off.
