Question Looking for a Day Old Bread Store near The Villages

Hi,

Does anyone know if there is a day old bread store near The Villages?
I know there's one in Leesburg, but I don't always make it out there.

Thanks for you help

Just outside The Villages, on state Route 441, heading towards Belleview, there is an Entenmann's Bakery Outlet in Summerfield. On the left as you are going north.

I'm thrilled to know there is an Entenmann's outlet period. As a transplanted New Yorker where Entenmann's is a way of life, I have missed it a great deal here in Orlando. I knew The Villages was going to be a good place to be.

Nature's Own is sold at Sam's Club....though you have to buy 2 loaves at a time. Might not be as inexpensive as one would find it at an outlet shop, but it is less expensive than at Publix or Sweetbay.

A few weeks ago, I was preparing to make some bread pudding where I needed day old bread. Everywhere I went, I'll admit, it was only to a few Publixs and Sweetbays, they all told me that any day old bread is already committed to St. Theresa's for their feeding of the poor. Good for St. Theresa's!!! So I had to buy fresh bread and keep it a few days uncovered. It worked...

While it will not be as bad now that so many have flown back up to roost .... be aware the the Entenmann bakery stuff goes quick at that outlet.

I am not sure exactly what day(s) of the week the get an Entenmann's delivery, as I do not buy those products (the carry other breads / products). .... they are on a scheduled basis and the clerks say people are lined up when the open the door.

Also be aware that this is a "day old" outlet. I am sure that Publix carries a limited selection of Entenmann's products.
