Default Finally Arrived And Already Loving It!

We closed on our house last monday but couldn't move in until Friday because they had to tear out the carpet and install our new tile.

The people in TV have been incredibly friendly!

We have had a blast exploring the area in our new GEM. Today we had internet, TV, and phone service hooked up. Lots of shopping for new household necessities. Still lots more to do.

Now I just wish our household goods and my car would finally arrive from Paama. The movers are taking longer than expected.

We are so happy to be here!

What Pooh said..

And I add...so happy for you, but those inflatable mattresses on the floor get old real quick.

Enjoy and WELCOME HOME!

It's such a magical time when one first moves to The Bubble. Welcome!!

Can I pick your brain for a sec? Did you buy a new or resale GEM, and have you registered it as street legal? Any problems getting insurance? Did you consider a Par Car or a Tomberlin?

Default Welcome

I can "hear" the excitement in your words. Welcome! This is the most fabulous place to live, so much do do, or nothing, friends to make, places to go, pools to swim in, golf courses to learn.... most of all, plain old happiness to be here. Sandra

It was a resale GEM that we found here on the TOTV "Items For Sale" forum. We did register it (I think they have to be registered because they go faster than 20 mph) and got tags at the tax collector's office. We got our insurance through AAA, I think it was about 600+ for the year with full coverage.

We didn't consider other vehicles, we had read up on the GEM and when one became available we spontaneously bought it.

Thanks for the info ... I'm planning on buying a street legal cart for my dogs so I can use my cart to take them to the Dog Park. I'm considering a Gem, Par Car or Tomberlin. Depends on what resale is available. I got a quote of $400 for insurance from Foremost. I didn't think of looking on TOTV, thanks for the idea!
