Grumpy old people
The only thing I really don't like about living here is the grumpy old people. Its so ugly. We are so close to meeting our Savior why can't we finish well by just getting along.:::

I always park at the end of the mailboxes and several feet from the curb so I can pull out without a problem.
I always wonder if the person that pulls up to the mailbox sideways have a medical issue or belongs to "it's all about me" club. Either way, I smile within myself and let it go. "Life it too short, to be too little".

This is an annoying issue and I see it too. What is the obsessive aversion Villagers have to backing out of a parking space?

Uh, arthritis, poor eyesight, bad back, feeble? Many single seniors (even couples) need to drive to survive. In the US, unless one lives in a city with public transportation, driving is a necessity, not a privileged pastime.

Always go to the mail boxes in the morning--if it comes in the mail, it can't be that important

How does this post coincide with your previous post saying you always go to the mailbox in the morning? There is always plenty of empty parking spaces in the morning so it would be totally unneighborly to try and block somebody in, wouldn't it?

There many go again.... blame it on the whistleblowers..
its their fault for complaining out the violators... they are the rightful ones among us... tell it like it is.... many of us moved here because of rule violations where we came from.. Just stop making excuses for the violators among us for what ever the reasons.. I for one will not accept your blaming me for their terrible behaviors among us. Period |

- That the parking violations at the mail box happen for a few minutes. - That people may park in odd positions for medical reasons. - That they aren't really hurting anyone. - That it really isn't "terrible behaviors among us". As Village swimmer said: Villageswimmer Kindness, grace and understanding goes a long way. Namaste.
