I had to reboot Comcast x1 twice in the last 24 hours, on off button did not help, had to unplug wait replug then go thru the boot up for TV channels. Wifi was and is working fine.

And if they don't show up (or are late) you are entitled to $20 off your bill each time they miss an appointment window.
BTW, all the Comcast field techs are contract people, you can complain all you want and they don't care.

Signed up for Comcast today with Tom. Got the first email and everything is not as I ordered. I forwarded it to Tom.. See what happens. My 60 bucks became 80 before it was even turned on.

We have had Comcast since we moved here 10 years ago and experienced Comcast growing pangs but never some of the situations described here.

I like Comcast and they have given us good service

Default Use

We use Direct TV (great provider) for cable. Use Comcast for internet and AT&T special box that allows us to use the Cell phone connections using our regular phone line . Cell phone number is same line with different phone number. AT&T box is $20 per month and allows phone calls over USA, etc etc.

well, my TV was back on yesterday before the scheduled appt. Don't know if someone had come to work on the outside. It's obvious to me they somehow boosted the signal. The picture is better and the TV on the lanai's display is finally correct. So for now I'm happy with Comcast.

I am still having to reboot almost everyday, it shuts itself off, then TV says no signal. So i unplug the replug and wait for the boot up. Seems to work everytime, but is a pain.

You may want to have Comcast send over a tech guy to repair or replace your box. Comcast has always resolved any service issues I have had pronto.

I had a tech guy come over one time and was working in a hard rain. When he came in to our house told him he couldn't go the rest of his work day wet and pulled out a new golf shirt for him to wear.

I have found the field people to be very friendly, knowledgeable and responsive.

Hope you can get a permanent resolution to your problem.

Personal Best Regards:

For what its worth, its a bit pricy, but my TiVo Roamio dvr and a cable card works great as an alternative to the Comcast set top box. Rock solid reliable.
