Default Paint Donation

I have just painted our main bathroom with a Sherwin Williams yellow paint. I personally like the color but my wife doesn't as it is too yellow for her. I wanted to paint our guest bathroom the same color but my wife was adamant that she didn't want to paint that bathroom with the same color. We originally purchased 2 gallons of this paint and the second gallon is almost full. My wife called habitat for humanity but they didn't want to accept the paint.

Are there any other suggestions of where we can donate this almost full gallon of paint?

Thanx

John

Have been trying to think of someplace that could use it, and asked my smarter half. We've come up with nothing. Sorry.

Call Hope Lutheran Church. They may need it for the building project they are doing as a rehabilitation facility. Or contact Habitat for Humanity.

I had the same issue and wished it could be put to use.. no luck. Dried it up with kitty litter and threw it out.

Where I used to live in Broward County (S. Florida) they would have a once a year place to bring in your paint (not oil based) where they would mix it all together and call the color Broward Co. and donate it to anyone that wanted it. It was a good way to get rid of unwanted paint and to also help someone that needed it.
Not a bad idea for other counties to follow.

You could also instead of kitty litter use the shredded paper from your paper shredder. This will also make what you've shredded more secure.

I'm going to check with Sherwin Williams to see if they can add another color to soften the yellow.

Adding brown will make it more pleasing.
