Default Pool monitor

Why is it the the pool monitors check 6 people sitting by the pool for ID but do not check 30 people in the pool. I ask she said that was the rules , so there could be 10 people in the pool that do not belong here. Dumb rule.

Two possible reasons:
1. It is easier.

2. When you are wet maybe you automatically become a Villager.

I vote for #1.

Default easier

easy way to say they are doing some checking. Is it really going to remove a lot of non allowable use of the pool. Can it lead to confrontations?

They've been doing this for years-all the non-residents hit water as soon as the monitor shows up.

Good policy. How many want to be inconvenienced to get out of the water, go to their chair and get out their ID?
If unauthorized users is a problem, which I doubt it is, then they could issue all residents a key to open the gate. This was done in a development in S. Florida I lived in and worked well.

For the same reason they won't pull you off of a pickle ball or tennis court in the middle of a game to show them your ID card. It would just be bad berries. Many more legitimate people would be hassled than illegitimate interlopers caught.

Who has evidence that non-villagers are using the pools?

Are you guessing or do you know there were ten people?

I know it has been an issue at the Pimlico family pool. I over heard conversations between teenage girls who were laughing about sneaking in from Wildwood. They said that they just jump in the pool when they check ids. No one in the Rec Center appeared interested when I told them what I observed.

Yes, bad berries to make people leave the pool to check IDs.

Thank you. that indeed is the problem "we don't know what we don't know"

So testing is important. I once knew a Manger of Office Services that would place $.50 pieces behind office doors to determine if the janitors were cleaning behind the doors.

Everyone should be checked for ID. Make people get out of the pool to show it! Otherwise what's the point?

I've been here 11 years and all I hear are the inconsistencies of not obeying the "rules". A line
has to be drawn some where. Trying to be cute with someone's words is no help either.
