Default Power Outage in Lady Lake

Power went out in the Silver Lake section at 3:23 pm in the area east of Shay Blvd.

If you have any elderly friends/relatives in that area, please check in on them. It will be getting very warm in their homes.

Someone having a bad day snagged the power wire when they were taking down a Palm Tree. Should be fixed by now. Good Post Thank You.

Just got back on here...power was restored after just under 2 hours. I was impressed with Duke Energy's web site....very clear as to the area affected by the power outage, why it happened and when you report an outage you are given the opportunity to get a text message when it was restored....which they did!

Yes, and according to the other source the home owner did not get a permit (required in Lake County) and will probably be getting the repair bill, $$$$.

I understand rules are rules but the tree that did the damage was beyond being saved. It was a safety hazard when it was standing and a bigger problem when he dropped it. I have learned from you that villagetinker that there are rules to be followed. This man just didn't know.
