If you are looking for something unusual and find it, definitely buy. If you don't mind the headache of renting, definitely buy. If not there is no reason.

There will always be houses for sale. Look at Villages sales site and zillow hundreds houses for sale. IMO don't get caught up in the hype. People die and people move. I doubt property here will ever reach the sellers boom decade ago. IMO majority homes has lost 20% in last two years and I don't see rebound.
