Default Google earth

Speaking of maps, does anyone know how often Google Earth updates? I try to look up areas of TV and they still show dirt. Google earth is so cool.

I would like to have the unmapped trails mapped. For instance, there is a shortcut from Morse to SS thru Hacienda East and two more from Morse to El Camino Real. Those are nice because you do not have to go around the cart path at the round a bout.

I don't think they have any update schedules that would tell us when we could expect to see new views. Could be wrong and if I am it's a schedule I'm not aware of or have detected over time.

Send any suggestions you have to memason. That's his project!

I don't know where these trails are located. Can you give me a little more information, including some street names that might be close by. I can only find the trails via google earth, but I need to know where to look, precisely.

I found the 8 1/2 X 11" golf card map here on TOTV awhile ago, and can't find it now. Does anyone know the link/location of it here on this site? Thanks!

Try the Villages Golf Cart Sales Office in either of 3 locations.
They should have the 8.5X11.
The Villages Phone book also has it and you can scan it to your computer then print it out as needed.

Click on the link provided in post #21 above. See the first post in that thread - click on the map picture in that first post, then right click on the resulting map. You can save it....do whatever you'd like with it at that point. At least that worked for me on my pc.

Please refer to a previous thread on this subject:
Cart Paths & GPS Navigation
One of our fellow TOTVers, MEMASON, creatively edited Google Maps so you can follow multimodal trails for The Villages. You can print your maps as well as download on your phone.

I think the map is found right here on TOTV. Look at the links in the upper left "Site Navigation" area. There is a selection that says "The Villages Maps". At that page you can download the PDF "Golf Cart Path Map". Hope this helps.

You can get a golf cart map at any of the sales offices. They have the golf cart trails in red and the tunnels are brown. (free map)
We also have the overview maps (free)
And the $5 street maps.
Just go in and ask any lobby host and they will give you one.

We just picked up a golf cart map at the sales office at LSL last week. Free of charge.
