The town of Waldo on 301 has disbanded its police force because of a ticket quota scandal. The town has been nationally known as a speed trap area where police had a quota of 12 tickets in a 12 hour shift.

It was never a secret. They had signs before entering town giving warnings. Most small towns earn their money thru speeding tickets, but give no warning. I'll still watch my p's & q's going thru Waldo!

Yes, saw the story on national news. I usually don't speed but this place gave me the creeps driving through.
