No but sitting on your front porch is a good idea. If you do not have a porch open the garage door and sit their.

The main requirement with the last two homes we bought was that the rear faces East so we could enjoy sitting on the upper deck or lower patio at our home in KC and the lanai and the patio of our home here; we back up to St. Charles and enjoy visiting with people walking by.

I do see people sitting out in front of their garages here in the afternoons, but only when the front of their homes aren't facing that blazing sun.

Driveway get togethers or parties work pretty nicely as well.

Sitting on the front porch is what I like about our Amarillo. One time we had our happy hour out there and anyone walking by we invited to join us. Fun!

I would, it would be great to have the whole neighborhood sitting on their front porch and talking to each other. I love my street but sometimes you can go almost an entire day without seeing anyone outside.
Right next to LSL is Lake Shore cottages. They are beautiful homes with front porches. Each house is unique! They even have their own Villages swimming pool... great Village to move to! (I don't live there).

We stayed in a Lakeshore Cottage during our Lifestyle Preview in 2007 and loved it.
When The Villages sold them off, we thought about buying one.
But we felt they were too expensive since we only live in TV during the winter.
I would love to have a front verandah.

Can you tell us more details, where you got it, etc?

We loved our first home, Amarillo. Loved our morning coffee on the porch, it was East facing. Really nice in the Winter.
