Default "Bump" -What does it mean?

Please explain, what does the notation "Bump" mean in the forums?

It is simply a way to push a topic to the top of the forum. If someone feels something is important and should be seen by others but hasn't gotten a response in a few days, they "bump" it to move it back to the top. (Hope this makes sense.)

Over the past year, I've seen dozens of "bumps" and just assumed that it meant "total agreement" with the last post. Thanks for educating me in my old age. George
