Could it possibly be that Oxford has a local tax over and above the county tax?

The taxes are:
.04 on each of the two senior drinks = .08
.07 on the curly fry = 0.7
.12 on each of the three classic RB = 0.36
Total = $0.51 tax
Yep, that is exactly what happened.

I check tax on each item and they still were off .04 cents. Just figure what that amount could be over a year !!!

Could you post the details of your visit, or a photo of the receipt?

No, the rate in Oxford is 7%. But this Arby's is in TV not in Oxford.

Response from the state via email:

Dear Taxpayer:
Thank you for contacting the Florida Department of Revenue's Tax Violations Program.
We will review the matter and determine the appropriate action needed.

Respectfully,

Leonard Allen

Without seeing the exact tax table, I couldn't tell you if the tax was right or not.

Florida has some really screwed up tax laws. I have found references to taxes varying based on eat-in or take-out, full-price, on-sale or 2-for-one, type of drink and how it's packaged, 1% taxes if the restaurant is in a hotel, even a mystical 2% additional tax on restaurant food (maybe only in the Miami area).
I'd reserve judgment until the answer is well defined.
