Blaming the Republicans? Only a stupid Democrat would say such a ludicrous thing. Yes, the Repubs could have passed it without the Dems, if they had total support of their own party. The Dems could have voted for it and it would have been passed also, without the REpubs that said they would not vote on it.
Obamacare is now going to fail and the left is going to own it, like they should. Too bad the country is going to have to suffer because of politics and egos. This is NOT Trump's fault. He worked with congress and had a plan that everyone should have liked. After all, much of Obiecare is in it. The viable parts. But, many egos were involved as well as stupidity. No one seems to understand the term reconciliation and how it pretains to the issue.

Anyway, just keep talking liberal talking points and insisting that you are really a Republican. Only another liberal will believe that.

Obamacare is on it's way out, either way. Too bad it will take a bunch of folks with it. Obama didn't care about the people, any more than people like Schumer or Pelosi. Funny thing is that Trump is probably the only one in D.C. that actually cares enough to sacrifice his time and money to take this job.

Moving on to tax reform. Too bad the Dems and Repubs could not work together. I guess the Dems have been totally controlled by the socialists now. And the group of strict conservatives in the Republican congress don't think that the rest of the Republicans are conservative enough, so they won't play well.

Time for the Nuclear option where it can work. Otherwise, there will be four years of nothing getting done. Schumer is still crying that they lost control of our gov. He has just enough power to be a hindrance.
Dear guest:

Good post. That is how I view this event

Actually the only adult in the room was Trump. He made a gutsy move by asking that the bill be pulled. These are signs of a serious man who truly wants change that benefits ordinary people.

Schumer and Pelosi are leading their party down a primrose path. Essentially what they are saying and doing is to sabotage Trump with political resistance and fake innuendo. Notice its to punish Trump, but in seeking their hate missiles on Trump they damage the nation.

The Republicans are also heading for disaster if they don't re-group and learn that legislating means making compromises. This is especially true for the Freedom Caucasus.

Notice what AARP did again. They are not motivated to do what is best for seniors but what is in their best financial interests.

Failure is the only way people learn . The Republicans will regroup and the Health bill will get enacted before Trump's first 4 years are complete and Republicans won't do so by saying "we have to pass it to see what's in it."

In the meantime why would any serious citizen applaud a Congress that can't work toward solution to this nation's problems and especially those who intentional assume the role of keystone kops?

Personal Best Regards:

Oh fer cripes sake...what a crock of lies

Republicans have blocked EVERY SINGLE ATTEMPT at healthcare reform from the Dem's...since LBJ.

They, as a group, don't give a $hit about the poor or minorities that are uninsured.

Now all of a sudden they want... "change that benefits ordinary people?"

BULL$HIT!

If the concern for American citizens is so great by the right, why in the he11 would a massive tax cut for mostly the rich...be a part of the proposed bill?

Why hasn't there been a SINGLE bill proposed by the right that addresses the uninsured working poor/minorities/women...until the ACA was passed?

Do you ignorant, cold-hearted, selfish idiots think that decent people and true American patriots...can't see right through you?

The ONLY reason they are even now addressing it, is because the ACA is now law thanks to the Dem's and since it is actually popular with even a lot of Repugnantcans...they can't be having that.

Nothing to gloat about for me at all.

I do not/did not like Obama care.

I naively thought a good move would be to work together and fix, if possible Obama care.

I guess it is now evident that the country comes second to Republican party. Could have fixed it but......

Not a surprise about Trump.....he failed in all ways when he made accusations publicly and with great malice toward so many people AND countries since becoming President.

How do we ever believe this person ?

AS I keep saying....unless he can pull JOBS out of somewhere (tax reform will be all about HIM), he will continue to be the most colossal failure of all time. In addition to destroying the Republican party; Democrats, unless those JOBS come to be, will have he control of everything for years to come

Who gives up in 60 days on a basic promise of his campaign ?
Me too. What is repeal and replace - is that not just modified Obama Care ? The horse has left the barn. Repeal is what the insurance companies want now. For the last year over and over Arizona has a 116% rate increase while many other states have double digit increases. Now along comes the fix with a projected savings of 10%. Why would a sane person declare that the right way to go ? I'm glad the vote was not held.

1. Keep the good parts like no top stops, 26 yr old coverage and no refusal of existing conditions

2 Get rid of the pork - yea it's in there - just look

Now you have to make it competitive

3. Insurance companies compete across state lines

4. Limit the deductible to a reasonable level. Let's stop trying to disguise the true astronomical price that the insurance really is.

5. One Federal run exchange - same rules for every state - no opting in or out - same Medicaid rules - etc.

Rather you like Obama Care or not it's too late to go back. The damage is done. And if you say it can then I say you are on Medicare (and like it) and don't give a care about the rest of America. How would you like a $10000 deductible for Medicare ? I say if you repeal Obama Care rather then fix it the insurance companies will target supplemental and advantage plans next.

Is this how the repub's worked with Obama? Just one case of mitchy Mcconnell blocking.

Did Mitch McConnell Say One of His Proudest Moments Was Telling Obama 'You Will Not Fill This Supreme Court Vacancy'?

Once again you are dramatically wrong.
I suggest you ignore this link and continue to be ill informed.
History of health care reform in the United States - Wikipedia

What republicans oppose are far over reaching efforts (like Obamacare, which included millions for new street lights...) designed to fail and bankrupt the system, so we can rebuild it under the single payer format.

We should all know that the only solution is a single payer health system going. Yep, they are hypocrites.

Anyway, it doesn't matter now, because the petulant crybabies in congress let their egos get in the way.

Moving on to tax reform and other things, like immigration reform and national security. Trump says his brain is smart. He learned to go into bankruptcy and screw the contractors that worked for him, and move on. That's why he is a billionaire. He doesn't need this job. But, America should care about his (and his surrogates') involvement in Russian interference and Trumps propensity to lie, and then lie about the lies he has told.

Not worth the effort. Simply put, B.S.! You are still just as ignorant as you were when you first posted on here. You haven't learned a thing. Might as well call you Schumer........
