One can only hope that now there can be meaningful discussion on a very complicated issue.

I wish the President and others would realize that there are so many layers to this particular issue. Now it appears any discussion will be within the framework of the 2016 election, not exactly the correct mode.

It will also have as a backdrop, the open border policy of this administration. As of today's news, people are simply flowing over the borders, many if not most doing drug cartel business.

The tension in the world is simply suffocating.

The Middle East is in a shambles, and the largest supporter of terrorism with our support emerges as as leader. The threat of ISIL has now spread to Africa, where little girls have been taken by a group now aligned with ISIL, Russia is literally hiding dead Ukranians that they killed in mobile crematoriums according to Bloomberg news, China has now said, while discounting world war, will fight the USA wherever necessary as tensions escalate over possessions in South China Sea (Japan and Australia will join war games with USA as a result), North Korea, again announcing progress with their nukes, ISIL saying they are searching for nukes and specifically mention the USA as targets,

AND people continue to stream over our borders.

This is an interesting piece on borders..

I respect HW Bush because he accepted the information from advisors that going into Iraq after the First Gulf War would result in a civil war. "W" got Gulf War 2 going and after Billions of $ and thousands of US lives this nightmare is still going on. Obama wouldn't be stuck in this blame game if this ongoing war hadn't been supported by Congress.
Thanks to our love affair with China and Russia in the form of jobs and technology transfers we have been able to be BFF with both countries. We may need a Republican President. If he is a sabre rattler we better start the Draft as soon as possible.
In the First Gulf War more military died from accidents (155) than combat. The Second Gulf War which destabilized the Middle East has 4000 US killed and counting. I believe some of those deaths occured under a Republican President supported by Congress.
Of course its all Obama's fault.

After your weak attempt at satire ... .and at the end of the day you still have to recognize the obvious don;'t you?

1. Iraq was more or less stable in 2011.
2. Then Obama pulled the American Military out and ISIS filled the vacuum.
3. Iran is on the march and soon to get a nuke
4. The ISIS Caliphate is on the march.
5. China is on the rise in power
6. We know the story with Russia ... Putin knows a patsy when he sees one.

Bottom line: US foreign policy is aflame, much of it self inflicted. We have a President who won't or can't lead. We are being put at risk and most especially our kids and grandkids are.

Unless we get a real leader in there, it's pretty much lights out for America over the next 10-20 years. But, no worries, you have your pension, resentments and tee time, right?

One more thing ... when you end up voting for Hillary, keep telling yourself why the world's a mess due to Bush, and not the former Secretary of State who was busy selling influence for $200M.

It might be good for posters to actually read what happened and not say that the Federal court overturned the President's immigration policy.

A Federal appeals judge, appointed by GW Bush, issued a temporary injunction on the halting of deportation of certain immigrants.

Just a political move by a Republican judge that will get overturned soon.

You are exactly right. The Republican judge is just trying to make a name for himself as "the judge who overturned the President".

As you said, it is a temporary injunction and will most likely by taken care of in a higher court ruling.

Isn't "Republican Judge" or "Democrat Judge" both an oxymoron? No judge should have any political favoritism. Politics have no place in our courts.

Unfortunately there are far too many examples where politics, race, special interest groups are what drives the judicial system.
Front and center example, Ferguson!
Chicago.
NYC

Just to name a few at the top.
Unfortunately the judicial systems are becoming nothing more than a politically polarized system.

Next stop will be the Supreme Court, but this may (probably) won't happen until after President Obama leaves office. Whichever party passes comprehensive immigration reform will win the White House.

Let us hope that the party crap becomes history, and we get immigration reform from the congress with the WH on board.

This attitude of making everything about the party is destroying us.

The Tea Party ... Your demonizations aside- is all about constitutional government vs dishonest authoritarian rule ... let's hope we can save our country from people too selfish or stupid to appreciate living in America

When a judge actually rules on the law you say it's political?

Does that apply to Democrat judges as well ?
