Way too simplistic an idea for Donald Trump with respect to this wall. For one thing, how do you put a wall up at the Rio Grande? Then there is the problem of so much of the property along the border is owned by private people. These cases could be in court long after Trump has come and gone as President of the United States.

A wall might stop small group and individuals from getting across. But if you have a cartel or some terrorist group trying to get through human intelligence in the form of informants is far more useful than an alienated group of border dwellers who probably have little reason to help us. Cartels and terrorists often have money to corrupt border security agents and the like.

The anti wall discussion and promoting and parroting is not about the wall. It is about Trump who wants the wall.

It has been said for years, long before Trump, the first step in controlling illegal immigration from Mexico is to get control of the border.

If any of the anti wall proponents had some personal investment in the issue there would no doubt be a different tune being heralded. Like if they had a home nearby....or there was an alien foot path through their property or if a loved one had been assaulted or killed by a border jumper.

Personal investment, first hand involvement and first hand knowledge = zero!

This is a vast border to the South. How is any kind of "wall" going to secure it? We have technology watching it and spies in places that they should be.

A wall in a specific area where it is needed is one thing but Trump's idiotic idea of a construction like the Great Wall of China is just mind-boggling for the 21st Century.

It is used to sow and demonstrate the ease with which thousands stream across UNIMPEDED.

We currently have and have had an open border, including releasing those who have been captured breaking the law allowing immigrants...good and bad.....to cross into our country illegally.

Why is the issue of illegality always glossed over?
Why is it OK for immigrants, especially from and through Mexico to freely have access to America?
When it is against the laws of the land?

It's NOT the illegals that are the problem...it's the ANCHOR BABIES they leave behind. Full fledged American citizens...automatically eligible for ALL the welfare programs. That US birth certificate is GOLD. They've left 10s of millions of anchor babies behind. They are having their own kids. They are the majority entering school. They WILL take over within 30 years and make this Mexico II. We can't stop them.
