This time of year refineries typically take some production off line for maintenance and get ready for summer. That suppresses inventories and normally causes some amount of price increase.
However. crude closed at 44.50 today which is about a 6 year low and will continue to hold down gas prices for now. The great unknown if the new King of Saudi Arabia, Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud will continue to play hardball and keep Saudi crude production cranking. If he does the world price of crude will continue to see prices at near it's current level and gas prices will reflect it.
