They know they can get away with something like this.
In Florida, you have to pay
$300 file a small claim. Plus you have to cover the cost of the police "serving" the person, and more.
Yes, you could win the case in court, but for a claim of $150.00 and you have to pay $300 to file against that person, who would do it????? PLUS, even if you WIN in court, you as the winner, still have to pursue the individual to get your money from them. The courts will NOT go after them. You only win a judgement against that person from the court system, it does NOT guarantee you will get your money!!
Unfortunately the bad guy knows this and that is why they continue to get away with it!!!
