It could be the chlorine in the water. It is pretty high at about 1.5 ppm. Do your eyes bother you in a chlorinated pool (not sure how "salt water pools" work - not all pools are chlorinated)? If not, then you may want to see an allergy specialist. If so, I would suspect the chlorine. A carbon filter will remove the chlorine.
