To shorten it all both Europe and the US were ill prepared to face Hilter because they underestimated him. France collapsed quickly and it took Britian three years for its first victory.

The United States had woefully let defense spending lapse but for the strong patriotic climate that permeated this country resulting in a coming together, that this melting pot had never experienced we would have been lost. The manufacturing sector converted from products of butter to guns and we owe them our gratitude.

Today's America has forgotten the past and we risk much underestimating our enemy in Europe, Asia, Africa and the Middle East. Unfortunately the liberals in this country seem to have taken a dislike to their own country. You see clear signs in Hollywood, Universities and our own government.

As a side bar it is also why I believe we should continue the use of fossil fuels because green only leaves us quite vulnerable


I do not know whether it is conceit , arrogance or ignorance, perhaps it is all of the aforementioned.

In my humble view we have to return to a no nonsense foreign policy, build a strong war machine and return to the draft. I encourage the draft because just a small percentage of our population is making that sacrifice. We have young people who could care less as to what is going on because they are dumb fat and happy (i e have no skin in the game). so I am promoting the return of the draft as often as I can and where I can.

We should all not waste our energy and time about the depiction Obama but funnel our beliefs to our federal representatives, newspapers, the internet, etc. The time for talk is over

Yes I served and served proudly. And i also believe a presidential candidate who has military experience should be a most sought after bona fide
