Villages8 - Thanks for the breakdown. Still sounds reasonable to me. PA is notorious for school taxes. My district is at 23.4 mills and there are 4 or 5 other districts in the county higher than ours. Added to that is 6.935 to the county and 1.25 to the township for the infrastructure maintenance costs.
The other item I've been concerned with is the homeowners insurance. Although some of the posts indicated the rates weren't too bad it also appears that it may be hard to get for some properties, i.e. the older manufactured homes or pre-2000 constructed ones.
I'm hoping to get down there sometime in late March for some first-hand searching.
Again, thanks for the information. I'm sure I'll have more questions.
