I've not thrown a club since. Bad shots now elicit a chuckle. Don't misunderstand. I still am driven to play better, but I no longer get mad when I don't play as well as I expect.

I totally agree. When I was younger and felt like I needed to win at everything, I found I wasn't enjoying myself so much. Now, I find that just playing for the fun of it is a lot more enjoyable. I wasn't making any money at golf anyway.
