We encountered something similar flying through DFW. As we taxied to the gate, fire trucks were spraying water in an arch through which our plane moved. When we got to the gate, they asked us to remain in our seats while a very special person was escorted from the plane. We were fortunate enough to be on the side where we could see the honor guard and family receiving the remains. It was surreal as no one made the usual mad dash to be first off the plane. And it was very quiet and moving.
