Acceptable and expected, especially in the high season. On days when I'm on my own, I don't think twice about finding an empty slot.



Now, as a female...I avoid groups that say 3M... usually look for 1M2F or 2M1F and will take a 3F (though I prefer gold to green tees...often 3F will play green).



In the summertime, I won't bust in on a group of 3...there are too many open slots.
