I have a similar post floating around about other communities vs. The Villages that you may want to read. One of my friends says he wants peace and quiet at retirement, and he can have that anywhere. I am not a social animal per se, but would prefer friendly folks and the golf cart availability of so much when I'm inclined amazes me. I also want low maintenence, like the villas.
