However, the grandstand seating with roof there is good for accommodating more people, and the shade is needed from the hot sun and the back walls are a good wind break when the wind comes across that prairie and makes it pretty cold there at night in fall, winter and spring.
It isn't a problem at Spanish Springs, either. I hate the layout at Brownwood. Not near as much dancing space as at the "centered" stage.
