All you have to do now is get the drivers on the inside lane to yield to those on the outer lane instead of cutting across it to exit (usually without regard to it being occupied or not). Just remember that making a right hand turn from the left lane to exit and cutting across traffic is the same as doing this maneuver on a straight stretch and causing an accident would be YOUR fault.
