Help With Auto A/C
Does anyone know of a specialist in auto a/c work? RItaly has a beloved 2005 Dodge Magnum whose a/c, despite being replaced with brand-new one last year, will only cool the car for two hours, tops. After that, car must be turned off for 45 minutes, after which it will work for another hour or so.
The a/c was replaced with Dodge factory a/c, had the temperature sensor replaced, and all work done by a dealer. Two dealers can't solve the problem. We'd now like to find a specialist--maybe someone over 50 who relies upon his knowledge and experience rather than someone who plugs in a module and says nothing's wrong--who can tear the car apart and either find out what's wrong or replace it. Maybe within an hour's drive.
Replacing the car is not an option. They are no longer made, and it's RItaly's favorite car of all time. He's sucking his thumb every time it's mentioned. he's otherwise in very good shape. (The car, not...well, he's in pretty good shape too.)
