Equally sad is that legally it's not your lawn in most cases. If you will look at your purchase papers you will find that your property line is not at the street. In most cases the first 12 or 15 feet between the edge of the street and your property line is part of the roadway right-of-way. Although you are expected to maintain the lawn, it is not yours. You have no standing to charge a person in this area with trespassing.
People can ignore your complaints, so why bother?

With all respect, Carl, whom I adore, it actually is your lawn for all purposes except as specified in the easement, which for the county is to build a road or the developer for utility repairs or upgrades. Otherwise homeless people could camp on my 13 foot easement.
