We were in the main dining room many years back seated fairly close to the doors. A family came in and the dad was wearing shorts. Have been on (RC's ) Oasis of the Seas twice in the last 7 months and I can tell you first hand that they were sending people in shorts and tanktops back for a change of attire before they could enter the Main Dining Room....
You might want to try Carnival , They are not as fussy ....
