I don't think such an occasional occurrence is a bid deal. Honest., I don't.
However...
IMHO, you absolutely could stop it from happening if you chose to. It's pretty simple really...don't let your dog go onto "someone's lawn". I walk my dog in our neighborhood. I guarantee she's not going to do her business on someone's lawn.
