I don't think an easement is for walking dogs.
I also don't think it's illegal for someone to step off the hot pavement onto your easement to avoid traffic or to prevent their dog's paws from getting burned. Carl in Tampa has explained these people are not trespassing.
We take our dogs daily to DDRR, the private dog park, and we're happy to pay for this privilege.
