We started doing taxes Feb 4th at the Truman Rec Center on Canal St. It has been pretty slow especially in the PM so it is a good time to get them done before the masses arrive. There are a few other locations with smaller groups of preparers but I don't know all the times or locations. There was an article in the paper around the end of Jan or early Feb but I didn't keep it. Make sure you bring last years tax form, social security card or statement, actual real estate tax form, receipts for all charitable giving,something to determine basis(orig cost) of any stock trades. If you do long form don't forget to include your mileage for medical travel. We have to turn away a lot of people the first time because they forget some of the above. They are not doing any state forms this year you must go to a paid preparer if you need help with state forms. If anybody has specific questions post here and I will try to answer.
