I have visited NY a few times and I can concur; "they are not
all rude, arrogant and a bunch of idiots"...just most of them are. I am amazed at the subway system (many levels going different directions, even under the river, truly a marvel!) but nobody thought to incorporate alleys in the building plan and trash sits out front on the sidewalk curb (yuck!).
A large percentage of Red Sox fans believe Yankee fans are oversensitive crybabies...it might have to do with the 2004 AL championship series???

To the OP; Continue to drive defensively (cart and car) and you will be less likely to be hurt. You are in an area where most drivers (retirement community) have lost a bit of sense and ability over the years. They can't avoid that (nor can we).
