I paid Service Smart for their yearly weed and fertilizer service December 3rd of last year. "Matt" promised me when signing that they would spray for weeds once a month up until March and then they would then start fertilizing afterward. The fertilizing has worked (in that my yard is green) but now my yard is overrun by ten times as many WEEDS as I ever had and there are many dead patches of brown grass which I never had before! One neighbor emailed me pictures a month ago and I called Service Smart and I was told they came out the same day and mowed them down. I received another email just today from yet ANOTHER neighbor with photos of my yard out of control and high with WEEDS once again!
What your saying now about them not spraying pre-emergent makes a lot of sense and coincides with why my lawn now looks so horrendous! They have had nearly 5 full months now to make my yard look better but they are only destroying it. I have been away from my FL house for last 2 months and won't return for awhile. I am at wits end now and don't know how to proceed. I think you would do our community a service if you would post this supervisor's name on this forum so anyone with problems can contact him directly. Also, is there someone or a department in The Villages that can help in matters like this?
