I'll go first: I'm a vegan because I read The China Study by T. Colin Campbell PhD.. His extensive studies of both small animals and a large 20+ year human population study proved to my satisfaction that animal protein promotes cancer. That's not to mention many other degenerative diseases that can be avoided by eating a plant-only diet.
I decided that as far as other regimens go, taste is good but not so good if you don't have good health. Good health is paramount. I can't imagine how I would enjoy life if I had cancer, heart disease, diabetes, arthritis or some other degenerative disease.

It's kind of rude to eliminate the comments of others on a forum.
You might want to check the definition of the word.
The vast majority of degenerative diseases cannot be avoided by eating a plant diet.
Where did you get that piece of information or are you simply "assuming?"
Where does it say that food doesn't taste good unless you are in good health?
Question: Do you put ketchup on your twigs and lichens?
