villagetinker is correct. On a vinyl siding home you should have vinyl mounting backers or plates. If you already have these the fixtures should be an easy swap.

If you do not, then you most likely have the fixtures mounted directly on the vinyl siding. This is a sub-par way of installation as it requires a degree of caulking between the fixture and the siding.

You can buy these mounting plates at the big box stores, T&D, even Pat's Sales. They come in different colors and sizes. If you are mounting these on each side of the garage it is an easy job, as the existing siding pieces are short. I am sure YouTube has videos on how to install vinyl siding mounting plates.

Please do not cut the vinyl siding and have the fixture be installed directly on the sheathing as this would be a very poor installation.
