What alot of people (Snowbirds) do is sign up for a plan with no contract, use it in the winter months, cancel the service and resign up again in the fall. If your services are off for 120 days, you are eligible for new customer promotional rates.

Wouldn't you have to turn In the equipment every time you cancelled and then reinstall when you sign on again. If so, that is way too many interactions, especially with Comcast. I found the Bright House system so easy to put on hold but I know they are only available south of 466A.
