They are still building courtyard villas but to me they don't create that friendly neighborhood concept like the patio villa and the courtyard villa has much less driveway space. It's unlike The Villages to stop building a winner!

I agree. The villas front porches made friendships easy and relaxed. It's like the old days before verandas moved to the back yard. Everyone knew each other. The colony patio villa had large bedrooms and a large kitchen too....very liveable. The resales are more expensive now as so much money has often been invested in them but still, not too badly priced and such wonderful neighborhoods!
