Let me make this comment about the tradition of cheering during the National Anthem in Chicago. I was in Kuwait during the Gulf War and my brother in law sent us a tape of the the All Star game played in the Stadium. We all sat down to watch the game and when the Anthem started and the fans were going strong I looked around me and all saw were soldiers, who said nothing, but had tears running down their cheeks. All we were hearing was that there demonstrations about the war, of which they were nothing compared to Viet Nam, and this gave us a little boost. From that time whenever I am at a hockey game I think of that tape. Is it disrespectful? I feel if it in their house, no. With that go Hawks.
