I for one want to keep them here and involved or we will soon have more of the inmates running the asylum. What makes ME want to bite is all the nickel and dime spending on "improvements" by the CDD elected folks north of 466 and folks wanting to add government restrictions to golf carts and change this and that. Build a covered pool, Etc. Etcl. Etc. Sooner or later the goose that laid the golden egg is gonna be deader than a duck due to folks who know NOTHING about running a city this size..........running a city this size.
And soon someone will weigh in about Freedom and Progress. I say you knew this was a planned development and not a voting city when you moved here.
There. I feel better.

I subtlety blew the alarm bugle months ago when the northern districts commissioners got on the safety of the multi modal paths kick. Creating situations to spend money, get their
name in the news, and testing the waters to gauge just how much power they can wield.
Should the day come the developer stops developing our way of life and maybe sell their commercial holdings and move on, the Villages will drastically change for the worse, not the better. Our districts will most likely become independent homeowners associations with the money spending, regulating types pushing their way into power and making money and lifestyle decisions that will adversely affect us all one way or another. That will be a disaster. I have seen this governing first hand and want no part of it. Just my opinion...
