I thought the main purposes of "green space" were to protect the eco-system flora and fauna, and to preserve aesthetic natural beauty of the surroundings.

So, the non-golfers who only drive Golf Cars for transportation and hence can not go to the Ocala National Forest, not a park as such, are left out..
Last cruise we were on, in Dominca non-golfers paid a fee to go around with their golfing spouses. Talked to the golfers I knew, they said same deal all over CONUS.
