I have a window that slides up and down that has a spring running along the left side, apparently to assist in raising and lowering the window.
I believe it originally had a plastic 1/2-tube covering it.
The tube has broken away and the spring is uncovered when the window is lowered.
The spring is now snapping into a convoluted shape and rattling a lot when I open and close the window and the window won't raise as far as it used to.
If anyone has had this problem, would you recommend a contractor to repair this?
