Default Re: Thinking of relocating to the Villages

I just moved here last September and I love it here.

There are some problems if you need the income -- part-time jobs are plentiful but pay little. $10/hr. is considered a good wage.

Finding a long-term rental is a little difficult but definitely doable. A lot depends how long you think you will want to rent. If you check the rental forum here, you'll see at least one property willing to take long-term renters.

The one thing I would check out is if The Villages will allow you to get a guest ID as a renter under 55. I don't know if this would be an issue but would hate to have you come here and then find out you couldn't use the facilities because of the age factor. I do know you can purchase under 55, so I think it wouldn't be a problem.

Hope this helps you in making your decision. Personally, I love it here and don't regret the move.
