The story in the online newspaper indicated the duck lost a leg and had to be euthanized. I'm sure the "duck hero" had good intentions, but the duck probably suffered more from being rescued than if he'd been eaten by the gator. A small gator was destroyed because he was simply hunting for food. That is just wrong!
