Sandhill Crane Baby Injured?
I saw the Sandhill Crane family today out behind Hospice (466). The babies are huge and one appears to have an injured left wing. It's hanging at an odd angle.
I was hoping one of our talented photographers could get a photo of the wing (I'm hopeless with a camera) so we can see if it is injured. I'm not sure how old the babies are before they can fly but I think these two babies are still too young to fledge. They are somewhat tame and will allow a close encounter for photos. Any takers?
