My father suffered with something like this and I have the same thing... He definitely suffered with it in the "lower regions" and areas of the body that had folds..under arms... neck... waist... etc. I tend to get it on my inner arms and neck area. If all medications have failed (anti-fungals, steroidal ointments etc) then you might want to consider something a little less common. It is not contractible or contact related. It can only be diagnosed with a biopsy. If it is psoriasis then sometimes UV treatment and steroidal skin injections can help. If you want to talk further IM me.
