Why should she have to drive to a center further away when they are charging as much as $45 a month. Besides, the Villages Fitness Clubs are only at 4 centers;

All the rec centers have a manager with an office. Have you tried seeing the manager?
I went into the Seabreeze fitness location once, and I thought I was in somebody's garage gym. There was maybe 7 or 8 people and I felt crowded. When comparing prices, MVP is higher priced than I like, but you get what you pay for. Here's an actual photo of Brownwood MVP. This is the bay area, there are also four classrooms, one for spinning bikes, two for workout classes and a basketball court.
